Bo Tree

Today, four months after her passing, a Bo tree was planted in Maryse's memory at the Montgomery Botanical Center in Coral Gables. The location on earth is 25 degree 39 minute 24 second North and 80 degree 16 minute 51 second West, which are, in decimal format (25.656667 degree North, -80.280833 degree West.)

The Sacred Fig (Ficus religiosa,) is a large dry season-deciduous or semi-evergreen tree that can grow up to 30 m tall with a trunk diameter up to 3 m. At this location, it has plenty of room to grow to its full potential.

A short video of the planting was recorded today. It can be viewed by clicking on either of the two images below. The video is in Flash format and will require a Flash component that should already be embedded within the browser that you are using.

  1. What a beautiful way to remember her. May she rest in peace. Sending love to the family from the Pritchards and the Palaus.
